MOTH TRAPPING - TYNTESFIELD NT 14/07/06

The Tyntesfield 3

As part of an ongoing survey to produce a species list for the Tyntesfield NT estate, a moth trapping visit was arranged. 6 MV traps were run around the area of the Summerhouse and along the top track. In attendance was Paul Chapman, Howard Taffs, Dave Pritchard and Jim Payne with the traps being run from dusk until around 2am. The weather conditions although not perfect for trapping gave us a pleasant night to be out, with a near full moon and clear skies, the temperature dropping to between 12 - 14 DegC.

Images of some of the moths taken on the night below.
