NOV/DEC 2006, GARDEN TRAP ARCHIVE

16th December 2006
Both traps run from dusk until it started raining around 10:00pm, result no moths.

13th December 2006
2 traps run between dusk and around 11.00pm. Only 1 moth recorded a Light Brown Apple Moth (Epiphyas postvittana) at the MV trap.

2nd December 2006
The first multi moth night for a while. Both traps run but only the UV produced. 2 Light Brown Apple Moth (Epiphyas postvittana) and 2 Rusty Dot Pearl (Udea ferrugalis) recorded.

28th November 2006
Ran both the UV and MV traps tonight between dusk and 10:15pm. Disappointingly only 1 moth recorded, the tortrix Light Brown Apple Moth (Epiphyas postvittana) found in the UV trap.

26th November 2006
UV trap run last night, no moths trapped.

19th November 2006
Ran the UV trap again last night, it was rather cold (3-5°C) but at least not wet and windy. Result no moths recorded.

18th November 2006
In a futile attempt to record some moths in November I ran the trap last night with predictable results, an empty trap.

14th November 2006
Didn't run trap, but had a Silver Y by the outside light.

11th November 2006
Attempted to run the trap last night, by 10pm had no moths and the forecast rain had arrived so packed in. Lean times in November!!

8th November 2006
A slightly warmer night so ran the UV trap. A solitary Cypress Carpet my only prize.

1st November 2006
Despite the onset of cold weather I decided to run my UV trap last night, I thought it might be the last chance for a few nights. I shouldn't have bothered 'no moths'.
