A cool, damp end to the month with a full moon so expectation low. In and around the UV light trap, singles of Brimstone, Shuttle-shaped Dart and Common Marbled Carpet. Also 5 Heart & Dart, 3 Shears and Vines Rustic and 2 Willow Beauty.

Quite a good night with the UV trap. Recorded 11 Heart & Dart, 5 Shuttle-shaped Dart and Vines Rustic, 2 Treble Lines and 1 each of Clouded Silver, Angle Shades, Common Pug, Pale Mottled Willow and Puss Moth.

New for the year Willow Beauty recorded last night. Also 4 Heart & Dart, 3 Treble Lines, 2 Peppered Moth and 1 each of Yellow-barred Brindle, Shuttle-shaped Dart, Early Grey, Common Marbled Carpet and Turnip.

Last night I got 14 species at the garden trap. 6 Heart & Dart and 5 Treble Lines, 3 Common Marbled Carpet, 2 each of Brimstone, Silver Y, Peppered Moth, Marbled Minor and 1 each of Hebrew Character, Scalloped Hazel, Cypress Carpet, Common Pug, Spruce Carpet, Shears and Yellow-barred Brindle a new year tick.
Last night I got 14 species at the garden trap. 6 Heart & Dart and 5 Treble Lines, 3 Common Marbled Carpet, 2 each of Brimstone, Silver Y, Peppered Moth, Marbled Minor and 1 each of Hebrew Character, Scalloped Hazel, Cypress Carpet, Common Pug, Spruce Carpet, Shears and Yellow-barred Brindle a new year tick.

After days of wet and sometimes windy weather I have finally got around to running the garden UV trap again. A Green Arches in the garden trap for the first time poses something of a dilema as I released a Green Arches from the Poplar wood in my garden on Sunday. I would have expected it to have dispersed in that time. Also recorded last night 3 Vine's Rustic, 3 Treble Lines, singles of Common Pug, Shuttle-shaped Dart, Common Marbled Carpet, Heart and Dart, Shears and Eyed Hawk-moth.

Last night I got 4 Treble Lines, 3 Shuttle-shaped Dart, 2 Vine's Rustic and 1 each of Early Grey, Heart & Dart and Brindled Pug in the UV trap.

A full moon so a lowish catch expected. In the UV trap 3 Treble Lines and singles of Brindled Beauty, Shuttle-shaped Dart, Knot Grass and new for the year a Vine's Rustic.
