Triple UV trap used but quite a small catch. Heart & Club numbered 11, Heart & Dart only 2 along with 2 Privet Hawkmoth and 2 Garden Carpet. 1 each of Mottled Beauty, Willow Beauty, Small Dusty Wave, Small Blood-vein, Swallow-tailed Moth, Buff Arches, Buff Ermine, Uncertain, Flame and the first Marbled Beauty.

Both the UV and MV traps used last night and trapped 23 species between them.
From the MV - 14 Heart & Dart, 6 Heart & Club, 3 Willow Beauty and Uncertain, 2 Elephant Hawkmoth and Lackey, 1 Riband Wave, Small Blood-vein, Common Emerald, Scalloped Oak, Privet Hawkmoth, Large Yellow Underwing, Bright-line Brown-eye, Dark Arches, Miller, Grey Dagger and a Snout.
From the UV - 16 Heart & Dart and Heart & Club, 4 Dark Arches, 2 Bright-line Brown-eye and Pale Mottled Willow, 1 Mottled Beauty, V-Pug, Privet Hawkmoth, Large Yellow Underwing, Lesser Yellow Underwing, Uncertain, Flame and Dingy Shears.

Ran the single UV last night as rain looked likely. 21 species recorded as follows:- Heart & Club 14, Heart & Dart 10, Uncertain 6, Double-striped Pug 5, Willow Beauty, Pale Mottled Willow and Bright-line Brown-eye all 3, Green Pug and Large Yellow Underwing both 2, Garden and Common Marbled Carpet, Mottled Beauty, Riband Wave, Peppered Moth, Privet Hawkmoth, Vine's Rustic, Flame, Turnip, Double Square-spot and 'first one this year' Marbled Green all 1.

The new triple UV skinner trap deployed last night for the first time, the first thing in it 'a beetle'. However some moths followed and the range of species was greater than with the single UV lamp. 16 Heart & Dart, 4 Willow Beauty and Heart & Club, 3 Uncertain, 2 Small blood-vein, Freyer's and Green Pug and Large Yellow Underwing. Also 1 each of Riband Wave, Spruce Carpet, Barred Yellow, Garden Carpet, Scorched Wing, Foxglove, Lime-speck, Double-striped and V Pugs, Common Footman, Shuttle-shaped Dart, Coronet, Buff Ermine, Flame, Light Arches, Vine's Rustic and Cabbage Moth.

After a couple of wet days an opportunity to run the UV trap last night. Recorded 28 Heart & Dart, 12 Heart & Club, 3 Uncertain and Garden Carpet, 2 Lime-speck Pug and Dark Arches and singles of Riband Wave, Willow Beauty, Green, Freyer's and Foxglove Pug, Pale Mottled Willow and Bright-line Brown-eye.

Just a Snout netted by the pond last night and a Scarlet Tiger flying in sunshine today.

Probably the best night of the year so far with the UV trap as 21 species recorded. Good numbers as well with 31 Heart & Dart, 5 Heart & Club, 4 Uncertain, 3 Flame and Bright-Line Brown-Eye, 2 each of Garden and Spruce Carpet, Willow Beauty, Vine's Rustic and singles of Riband Wave, Light Emerald, Green Pug, Privet, Poplar and Small Elephant Hawk-moth, Large Yellow Underwing, Treble Lines, Pale Mottled Willow, Dark Arches, Common Wainscot and Marbled Minor.

A new species added to the garden list today with Red-belted Clearwing lured with the MYO pheromone. It is likely that a colony survives in a old apple tree in a neighbours garden (photo below).

UV trap run on a warm overcast night. Recorded 18 Heart & Dart, 5 Willow Beauty, 2 Large Yellow Underwing and 1 each of Garden and Spruce Carpet, Light Emerald, Freyer's, Lime-speck and Double-striped Pug, Ingrailed Clay, Double Square-spot, Bright-line Brown-eye, Lychnis, Flame, Flame Shoulder, Dark Arches, Marbled Minor and Small Fan-foot. Also an overdue garden list addition with a Common White Wave.

Overnight the UV trap attracted 11 species including a patch year tick with Heart & Club. Also 13 Heart & Dart, 6 Vines Rustic, 2 Willow Beauty and 1 each of Peppered Moth, Flame Shoulder, Cypress and Garden Carpet, Double Square-spot, Green and Freyer's Pug.

A potentially warm and slightly overcast night so ran both the UV and MV trap last night.
From the MV - 26 Heart & Dart, 7 Common Marbled Carpet, 3 Brimstone and Garden Carpet, 2 Green Pug, Willow Beauty, Treble Lines, Knot Grass, Spectacle and Snout and singles of Foxglove Pug, Light Emerald, Blood-vein, Maiden,s Blush, Yellow-barred Brindle,Orange Footman, Privet and Small Elephant Hawk-moth, Puss Moth, Lychnis, Shears, Shuttle-shaped Dart, Large Yellow Underwing, Silver Y and patch year tick the Uncertain.
From the UV - 30 Heart & Dart, 5 Vine's Rustic, 4 Common Marbled Carpet, 3 Peppered Moth, 2 Flame, Garden Carpet, Shuttle-shaped Dart and 1 each of Silver-ground Carpet, Clouded Silver, Willow Beauty, Spruce Carpet, Light Emerald, Small Dusty Wave, Large Yellow Underwing and patch year ticks of Yellow Shell and Pine Carpet.

Last night in the UV trap just 7 species. 5 Heart & Dart, 3 Shears, 2 each of Treble Lines, Vines Rustic and 1 each of Setaceous Hebrew Character, Shuttle-shaped Dart and Freyer's Pug.
